Your answer is 4600 RPM in 6th gear.

At 100 mph it sits right at 4k in 6th.

I agree that it looks better but I don't know that I'd be willing to trade mine for a 3-door. The extra doors are super nice to have when I do have to cart people around.

If the tach and speedometer get measurements from different places (transmission vs. wheel sensor), with different errors, they may wander from one another. I mention this because I've seen my speed not scale from 3k to 4k rpm.

With the Focus ST listed as 25.6 mph per 1000 rpm, that's 100 mph at 3900, and 120 mph at 4700. Pretty close to OP's numbers, especially if trying to read analog gauges at 120 mph.

Yeah, it's likely just an error in reading the gauges. Being off by 1 or 200 rpm is not a big deal, especially if you're paying the attention you should when travelling 120mph.
